After his surprise victory in PGA Tour golf betting action last week, Brandt Snedeker will be gunning for two in a row beginning Thursday at the Waste Management Phoenix Open in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Snedeker, who benefited from a shocking collapse on the 72nd hole by little-known Kyle Stanley to win the Farmers Insurance Open in a playoff last week at Torrey Pines, is listed at 20/1 odds to win this week at TPC Scottsdale – where the 162-yard, par-3 16th hole generates a raucous atmosphere that is singularly unique on the PGA Tour. Snedeker finished T8 at this event last season.
Defending champion Mark Wilson is back to try for a second straight title at TPC Scottsdale, after winning two weeks ago at the Humana Challenge. Wilson certainly shapes up as a value pick at 33/1 odds to repeat as champion.
Webb Simpson, the breakthrough star who finished as the runner-up to Bill Haas (25/1 odds) in the FedExCup playoffs last season, is listed as the chalk to win this week at 14/1 odds. Simpson finished at 14-under par 270 last year, joining Snedeker in a tie for eighth place after shooting rounds of 70-66-67-67.
Martin Laird and Nick Watney were also among the contenders at last year’s tournament, finishing T3 and T5 respectively, and they’re both listed at 22/1 odds to finish on top of the leaderboard this week – just ahead of two-time Phoenix Open champion Phil Mickelson (25/1).
Matt Kuchar, who did not play in this event last year, is also listed at 25/1 odds along with youngRickie Fowler who is sure to be a crowd favorite this week. And Stanley is a 50/1 longshot to rebound from last week’s devastating conclusion at Torrey Pines with a win at Phoenix.
